018 Monday Moments - Caught by Surprise

Because people are funny creatures.

“Carnalval’s doomed!” was the first quote I got when sharing this series on Instagram the other day. For those who don’t know: the month of February is all about celebrating Carnaval.

The one in Rio is a completely different celebration than it is here in The Netherlands. Take out the word ‘exotic’ and all that’s left, remains and happens here.

I mean, I don’t celebrate it, I never have and perhaps never will hahaha, maybe only when in Rio one day.
But we accidentally ran into a celebration when visiting the city of Delft (which normally isn’t an area that is known for celebrating Carnaval. A great opportunity to capture people’s outfits and have a laugh about it. I mean, it’s all about getting out of your comfort zone nowadays, right?
